Rebar Tie Wire 2014

 

This was the final project for my Introduction to 3D Design course through the Art Department. For this open ended project I chose to create a sculpture of the beloved astromech droid, R2-D2, from Star Wars. This sculpture was made entirely of rebar tie wire, a medium occasionally used throughout the course. As an additional challenge, the sculpture was created out of one continuous length of wire.
